i breathe a sigh of relief...the day has come and gone. i told one of my good friends, "i know why finally, that it is i love halloween so much, and not the big favorite, christmas...it has lower expectations, and none of the stress!" i got to spend time with loved ones though, and i got some really great gifts from my loved ones. my daughter angie, got me and my husband a gift card to the restaurant canlis, and those of you familiar with seattle, know what a treat THAT is! i have never been either, so i look forward to that. greg atkinson is one of my favorite cookbook writer's also, but is no longer at canlis, but i'm sure, as angie always says, "it'll be fiiiine!"
my youngest daughter, rachel got me a huge gift basket and filled it with what seemed to be endless goodies, of all things she knows i love...there were some fur-lined leather gloves from wilson's, several foods from trader joe's, many yummy, chocolatey items and coffee items, several earrings and a pink pirate skulls scarf from claire's, and a cookbook 'morgan freeman and friends, caribbean cooking for a cause', and the list is still incomplete!. my sister also got me a cookbook, 'tyler's ultimate' another of my favorite guys...now i have all of his cookbooks!
but the best of all, was from my hubby...he got us concert tix to see rod stewart in march, at key arena! that's gonna be a good one!
