here is what i'm up to lately...'bubble' dresses! it seems like an endless flow of these bouffant bridesmaids dresses! here's one in green i did...

these past couple of weeks, i did three in bronze, one in chocolate brown, and one in black. here's one in red i just fininshed...personally, i think the red looks wonderful! currently, i am getting ready to sew five in flamingo pink!but here is something fun i am taking time to do, for my friend dena for her store ottoman trading company. she went to turkey recently, and brought back these great fabrics to make some cover-ups for wearing before and after bellydance performances. the little tassle-y things are to make some kind of closeure for the front.

i decided the day is kind of dreary for serious sewing, so decided to blog for a while. that is why there are two posts one after the other! and did you notice i went pink!? i also figured out the sidebar thingy finally...i hate it when you figure something out and it was so easy to begin with! i'm always doing things the hardest way possible!

i also need to clean the sewing room today... i have been driving myself crazy trying to find things that are buried under piles of fabric! that will help me get a good start for the next few days, since i will be really busy. also, my husband i going to build a long table for one end of the work space. it will hold all the other sewing machines...two sergers, and my regular machine i use for stuff like zig-zag. the kids use that one too, 'cause they are afraid of the industrial one...it goes really FAST! then somehow, i will maybe get all this stuff organized...maybe! i am kind of 'organizationally challenged'!

Likewise here with organizing problems. Just a little while ago I was walking around my house in circles hoping an empty bookcase was hiding right under my nose. I don't think there could ever be enough bookcases in my house.
Dresses are gorgeous. I'm partial to the green one. I *heart* green.

The red dress is beautiful! You should post one of the ones you do in flamingo pink (though I fail to see how it can be as successful). Congrats on the blog redesign!
