velvet madness!

a while back, i posted that i had made a choli, (a pink one!) and i really liked the way it came out, so i made a few more. i had told my bellydance teacher about it, and she said "bring them in next class, so we can see them", so i did. i wore this one, and brought the couple i had made, and they both sold and i got orders for two more! and dena would like to have them in the store too, so here is where the velvet madness comes in!

i am dangerous in a fabric store...i need a chaperone! i went to get some black, and some white panne velvet for the cholis that people wanted me to make, and ended up getting all this! some of the colors were on the sale table, and i couldn't pass up the price, and some of the colors were just too pretty to not buy! so, in between the wedding alterations i have, and the bridesmaids dresses that i need to finish, here is something for me! the big medfest in west seattle is coming up too, so i hope to get enough of them done to be able to send there.

and for more bellydance madness...i think i am totally, hopelessly, irrevocably hooked on it! but the post from a couple of days before, the "mystery project"...well, it has been sent off, and is on it's way to pandora's button box! and jaden was somewhat correct, guessing it was something bellydance, but not for oscar kitty! when the lovely amanda receives her parcel, the mystery will be revealed!

Congratulations! Your work is lovely and that velvet looks soooooooo soft! Hey...I just read your side bar....I call the movies the show too. Every once in awhile I realize it must sound odd but I grew up with it being called that and don`t notice most of the time.

Have a great weekend!
