last night, i went to the holiday hafla at ottoman trading company and it was much fun! there was dancing and dancers, and for the first time there was a live band, the saltana band, and they sounded great! lots of food and friends...what could be better! well, if i had remembered to bring my camera, that would have been better! the highlight of the night for me was the last couple of dancers. (although i have to say, all the dancers were wonderful!) one was one of my instructors, asiya, and the other is another fabulous dancer and also plays violin for the saltana band, alimah!
now today, i will get to practicing, for later this evening, we dance! i even have my costume fininshed, so no sewing to finish up on it today...that may be a first.
