our american idol
do you watch american idol? i usually don't, but this season, i started watching with my girls, because of blake. he is from bothell, washington, but not only is he from near us, he is a friend of my daughter and her boyfriend. he went to the high school that is just down the road from us...it was very sweet, they had up on the reader board in front of the school, "blake lewis our american idol" how cool is that! even cooler... yesterday they had a parade in downtown bothell for him! i saw the banners up in the evening when i was on my way to bellydance class, and i tried to get a photo of it, but the picture came out really cruddy, so i'm not posting it.
my daughter's boyfriend is a drummer, and he was in the band 'the panda conspiracy' for a long time. (but not anymore) blake sometimes would perform before them, and after, he would hang out with my daughter, as she is the good girlfriend and attends lots of his performances, and then be sitting alone while he was up performing. so blake would come and sit with her, to keep her company sometimes.
now it is getting close to the end...do you watch? who is your favorite?

tara! yay! you are back! welcome home! melinda is my favorite, but jordan is really cute...people keep telling my youngest daughter that she looks like jordan, and it annoys her. i told her, 'don't be annoyed, it's a compliment...jordan is really cute!' you missed jon bon jovi! that was pretty good!
but, i was WRONG! the parade is TODAY! and right now, my daughter is caught in the 'parade traffic'...and not happy about it!

I really like Blake. I think he has been my favorite male singer.
Jordan is probably my top choice overall.
