the school shootings at virginia tech are in my mind today. i'm sad for those families, and when my husband went off to his job at the high school, i hugged him a little longer than usual before letting go. gotta go sew.

It has to be frightening for you to think of people you love at schools right now...

It is for me...I think of my son at collage and cringe.

such incidents not only make us think of the reality around, but also make us think of certain things which we take for granted.....everytime when my husband goes for work, i give him a series of regular instructions like drive carefully, be cautious et al..but never ever think of such dreadful stuff !!!!!!!

That's about the best thing that could be said about them. There but for the grace of god...

I also give instructions to my husband every morning, it is almost a ritual thing!
Yesterday, a construction worker that worked for a friend of mine who's an architect fell on an 80 yards deep well and died. He has left alone a 34 year old wife and a 12 year old daughter. When they checked the cable that was holding him it was perfectly fine; the very seldom true unlucky accident.
My husband is an electrician and something similar could happen to him everyday. I also hugged him a little more this morning when he left.

Hi Cinderelly,

Very tragic! Up here in Canada; we think too, "what is this world coming to?"

Yes, life is so short; and we just never know when our time is up; so we make the tidbit best of things. However, a horrible way to have died!

Just redid my Zihua postings; to put Zihuatanejo in a better format for you to read. ie the 3 parts are one after the other; instead of being scattered about.

Also, have a photo of my wee twin grandsons! We are young grandparents; plus "young at heart!" LOL! Your grand daughters are soooo dear.

Hope you are well; and congrats for finishing your projects.

God Bless.
