in case anyone was wondering why i have not posted any of the dresses i have been working on lately, it isn't because i haven't been working on any. on the contrary, i have been working quite a lot, and in fact, i am kind of behind in where i need to be! but i have not photographed anything, because the sewing room is sort of a disaster these days. (see shot above!) hubby made a long table to go across one entire end of the room, so that all my smaller sewing machines could go on it, but we had to remove a very large cabinet that held a good portion of my 'stash', so while the table is in and does very nicely for holding all the little machines, the room still looks like a fabric store threw up on it. without the large cabinet, i lose a lot of storage space. so i am going to have to decide what i really need and what can go. we are planning a yard sale in a couple of weeks so i guess some of it will have to end up there.

here is one of my recent projects that i did take a photo of. i sewed an order for madina for 12 really long sashes (4 yards each!) for a wedding back east. after they were all sewed together, and i was turning them right side out, the pile at my feet looked kind of weird, and made me think of a writhing nest of pythons, so i took a shot of them!

then, this was a shot i took of a dress that had to have so much stuff done to it, that it was nearly completely disassembled. the photo doesn't really look as ripped up as it really was! i often wonder how freaked out the brides would be were they to see their precious wedding dress so completely in shreds! well, i always get them back together...so far. i will admit to more than a few of my own panicked moments, and maybe a few tears of complete frustration!

hopefully, soon i will be able to get some degree of organization back into the work area and have a place to put 'zoe', my dress form, to take dress shots again.

well, back to the ripping and re-assembleage...i need to catch up, as i will maybe be needing some down time next week. i have to get some implants done (not the boobular ones, the denticular ones!) and they will be doing mouth surgery on me. i told hubby, "i want to go eat a steak, sometime between now and wednesday...after that, i won't be able to eat anything very chewy for quite a while!" bummer.

Good luck with the dental crap- I hate that! Ever since I was an Army brat at the Army Dentist...shudder! all I remember is pain!!!! I had braces for 5 years! I guess it will be better once its done, but good luck, sweetie! Your sewing room looks like mine- when I work I through all the fabric all around! yeehaw!!! Like a fabric dump- piles of it all over the place! Today's chore is to straighten before the next project! hahah
