just a rant

just a random thought, after a couple glasses of wine...when did mexicans become 'terrorists'? my sister flew to cali this weekend, and after repeated failures to print out a boarding pass, finally just got one at the airport, only to be pulled aside, and to be to be thoroughly searched. and she even asked, "why?"...she was told, that with the last name 'ramirez', she had been flagged to be a 'national security risk'. what...the...hell?!? 'kay, i'm done.

That sucks!
Hey- on the shipping to Carolina-I paid 28 bucks for it and I didn't ask how long- that was the cheapest price and I said ok. Geez! I hope she gets it before halloween! hahah!

That would be awful! Oscar is so cute. He looks a nit like my Angus. And the black kitty is so sweet. That puppy looks like my dog Daisy as a pup that I lost a few years back.
You do beautiful work. I have an aunt who does beaded wedding veils and sends them all over the world.
hanks for visiting my blog :)

Mmmmm....I can't imagine why he would say that? Maybe it was just a random problem with that particular person. I would complain to the head of that airport security and demand an explanation or apology.

I don't think it was a Mexican thing... my husband found out he is on a "no fly" list because he has such a "common last and first name". How STUPID is that! When he went to fly out on business he was also thoroughly searched and held aside. Now he has to fill out all kinds of forms to get his name unflagged and get through all of the red tape.

Hey, my hubby just went on a trip to California, from Buffalo. We're native Canadians, his last name is Kitchen, and he's as "white bread" as you can get!
While waiting for his flight, he saw an opportunity he couldn't pass up: A pigeon was sitting on the window ledge, so he photographed it, and was about to send me the pic with a funny text message that would have said "My plain has arrived", someone saw him take a photo, and told the guards. He was then pulled aside, and his luggage was literally turned inside out.
