owie...well, it's all done. the two teef are out...that was pretty much of one of my bad dreams come true! (i sometimes have dreams where my teeth are either loose, or come out) i still have not worked up the courage to look at the empty spaces under the retainer thingy with teeth they made for the meantime. (i think when i do look, it will make me cry!) i have to wear that appliance until the actual implanted teeth are put in after everything heals. so, i have taken my meds, (vicodin is a wonderful thing) and i have crawled into bed with my laptop, my current book ("no one here gets out alive", a biography of jim morrison), some stitchery to work on, and a pile of my favorite dvd's...currently on: "eight-legged freaks". i decided to have an arach-attack first! then, "house of wax" (the vincent price one), "practical magic", and "the lost boys", not neccesarily in that order! my girls have both already called to check on me, so i think they will take good care of me...i think i have a smoothie on the way now! yum!

Oh honey!
I hate removing teeth! However, at least it is over and you are on the mend! AND get to catch up with books and movies! And if you get the implants at least they are good quality! : ) Hugs

I think you have this handled--> a smoothie, vicodin, a great list of movies to watch, now I see the cocktail of the day is a "Singapore Sling" I recommend that!! and the new movie "Pans Labyrinth" although it is in Spanish with English subtitles. Very very worth the watch.. I got my copy at Wal-Mart on Tuesday its a new release, A dark fantasy not for the little ones.. I really liked it so very well done.. I think you will like it..
Please get well soon...

gypsy ~yes, i am looking forward to the time when it is healed and the 'good' teeth are in. this is gonna get old fast with these can't-bite-anything-subtantial-fake teeth!

ee ~ thanks!

tess ~ hee, hee! it was kind of nice to lounge about on drugs yesterday, with a bunch of good movies and a good book (so far so good, anyway!) but unfortunately, the vicodin and alcohol don't go together very well, so the singapore sling is going to have to wait...looks good though, huh!? i have to find some cherry brandy! i always got the rum!
OOO,honey hope your doing better! Love Lost boys and Practical magic!

I love the Lost Boys and Practical Magic combo as well (Practical Magic SO made me want to move to Friday Harbor. But only if I could have that house!! Ok - maybe those aunts too!)

I feel your pain - I get to go have a bridge removed next week (3 of my front teeth) in preparation for a shiny, new, and better made one hopefully... Am not looking forward to the in-between old and new teeth either...

tara ~ didn't they live in a beautiful place!? the town shots were in coupeville on whidbey island. such a cute place too!

oh no, you too?! so sorry about that! it feels like it's never going to be back to 'normal'! we will be sipping smoothies together!
I'm sure you're glad it's over. I had one pulled about 8 years ago. If they gave you a fitted "flapper" you can actually eat with it - at least I could.

Take care,

Manuela

manuela ~ they did give me one of those, but it still gives me trouble to eat! maybe later, after it is no longer so inflamed in the spot it will be easier to eat with it.
