now with halloween over, the cleanup of the 'graveyard' comes... that is always put off for a few days, 'cause it's so much work! but also, one of the reasons is this...arachniphobia! they terrify me, and the scariest thing i can think of to go with my graveyard, is the spider covered porch.
there are tons of plastic spiders 'crawling' everywhere and fake spiderwebs, and the big drop-down spider that is sound activated...very scary, his red eyes light up too! well, it freaks me out a bit putting them up, but taking them down is much worse! because here is why... over the several days they are up, REAL spiders go in there to live! i look very carefully at all of them as i take them down. there were times i went to get one, and it wasn't plastic! aaaaghhhh!
silly woman you say...well, i got bitten by a spider once, and got very sick, and it left a very big scar, so they are really freaky to me still. just before halloween, i went oustside and one came down and landed on MY FACE! i screamed and screamed and did the 'spider dance' (you know that one...arms flailing jumping up and down and in circles!)
my kitty b.b. here sometimes will come and 'save' me from them... he will gobble them up, first torturing them before making them a snack, but this one even he looked at, and apparently thought, "aw naw, he too big!" it was one of these...
these garden spiders that grow into monsters by the end of the fall. but soon, it gets too cold for them, and they will be gone!well, i have been totally without alterations work at the bridal salon, so i have been playing with the bellydance stuff. i have several ideas i want to make up and have some started. i have been working on this bra off and on for a while, and i think i finally have it done.
at least at a point where i can try it out, maybe...i think it still needs more beads though. but then, i think everything needs more beads!
