here is a kind of 'bollywood' hip belt i made a couple of weeks ago. i bought more vintage sari edges from one of my favorite vendors of belly dance items, silk road tribal. this one had a green background and it looked really beautiful on some gold tissue lame i had laying on the cutting table. and this is what the result was. i sewed a length of pre-beaded fringe at the bottom. it was originally supposed to have coins along the bottom, but the lot of coins i bouught for that purpose didn't seem to be enough and the gold seemed too yellow, just not the right color, so i left it as is. i still think it is pretty. it went to a place that will eventually raffle it off for a bellydancer fund. i thought it was a nice idea, a fund for dancers who fall on hard financial times. i think i want one for me too! in case you were wondering what that pink sparkly thing is in the corner, it is is this...
a new pink fringed scarf! with sparkly pailletes all over it! and the cool thing is that it goes with all the skirts i have right now! doesn't pink go with everything though?! i guess in my world, it does!

I love all your artistic, feminine, beautiful work. You're such a girlie girl! Makes me wish I was a little more feminine, sometimes. BTW, the lace at the top of your blog today reminds of me one of my Mexican Abuela's mantillas she wore to church when I was a kid. I thought they were the prettiest things I'd ever seen.
