just a quick post on what i am up to. i am in the frenzy of the bridal season right now, and how do i keep up? um, i don't. i am behind, and here i am blogging. i haven't kept up with this either very well. sorry for those that have left comments, and i haven't been answering. i have been trying to get to your blogs and peek, though! i am blogging this morning instead of working, because i am just feeling distracted in so many ways. this weekend is medfest, and we are performing! it's a biggie for us, and we are excited! we are at 11:20 on on saturday, at the indoor stage. every time i go down into the sewing room, i play with my costume again! i still don't have it together! i have stuff i sewed going there, if you are in the area and go, check out ottoman trading company's tent. they have some of my stuff, and lots of other terrific goodies! here is one of my new things i made to send to medfest.
i have a ton of bridal stuff on the alterations rack too. there is that 8/8/08 date coming up, and there are a bunch of dresses for that weekend. i think that is why i am reluctant to start this morning...it feels so overwhelming, like trying to empty a lake with a thimble. i finally have only one of these dresses waiting for me downstairs...she is the new favorite these days it seems. it is vera wang, and this is the third one this month!
we had a funny thing happen a couple of weeks ago, not funny at the time, but now it is. we had two brides with the same dress, and they somehow got fitting appointments booked one right after the other, and so they were both IN THE SHOP at the same time! no one wants to see their dress on someone else, they all think their's is special and unique! well, the first one left before the second came out with her dress on, and we all breathed a huge sigh of relief! i think it is so popular because it looks beautiful on most any body type...they all look like a princess in this dress!
