we had some gardeners come out to do some work in our yard today. it does not have access to the back, so we hired some guys to come and move a lot of dirt and rocks to make a pathway to the back.

well, it made me feel guilty, 'cause here is what my herb garden looks like these days! if you click on the photo, it will get bigger, and close-up you can see how scary, out-of-control the weeds really are!

some of the flowers are blooming and looking so pretty. i love these blue violets! i had my daughter time me, and only let me be out pulling weeds for a half an hour...i usually only stop when i hurt too badly to go on!

i made a tiny dent in the wilderness, and got a couple more herbs planted. here are my son's boots that he gave to me before he got deployed to iraq...he laughed when saw i planted flowers in them!

i love the bleeding pretty!

Beautiful garden! REally love the sculpture, too. And bleeding heart is one of my favorite plants, I think maybe because I am one myself. I noticed that you enjoy belly dancing. I used to belly dance, but was so clumsy I gave it up out of embarassment! Do you bellydance?

Thank you for your sweet words. I will return.

I have lots of the little blue violets in my garden and just love them. They look so delicate yet they are very hardy! The bleeding hearts are just beautiful, too.

Oh, I just LOVE Lily of the valley.
I wish I could find a perfume in that scent.

I had a piece of vintage fabric with Lily of the valley and roses.
It sold for some crazy amount of money within 24 hrs of listing it.

I was sad to see it go.

i love it too! our neighbor gave them too me...she has them planted all over her yard and they are so beautiful when they bloom! i like that movie 'practical magic', and sandra bullock wears a sweater in one scene, with lilies of the valley on it...i always wonder where they got it!
